Michael Brenneis

Michael Brenneis is a Senior Researcher with the State Smart Transportation Initiative. He contributes to technical assistance and research projects designed to help agencies improve policy, decision making, and practices. In his previous position with the City of Madison, Department of Transportation, he developed spatial data, analyses, maps, and GIS applications for internal customers and public distribution, and modeled parking demand and supply. In addition, he managed open-data and asset-management projects for the Parking Utility. Michael holds an MS in Geology from the University of Wyoming, a BA in Geology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a GIS Certificate from the Department of Geography at the UW-Madison.
