Alexis Econie is a graduate student of sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her work is centered around the intersections of labor and environmental justice, focusing specifically on low-road labor practices in the US recycling industry. Alexis has previously written on the linkages between green industry and temporary staffing services; her current research explores the labor rights and environmental justice movements in the US to demonstrate the value of co-constructing environmental and labor regulation to realize a just and flourishing green economy.
