COWS, together with the American Association of Community Colleges’ SEED Center, consulted on the Greenforce Initiative of Jobs for the Future and the National Wildlife Federation, with whom they will cohost this week’s event. COWS’ Sarah White will kick off the invitation-only summit in a plenary discussion with leaders from the US Departments of Labor, Education, and Energy: Understanding the National Context for Advancing Sustainability Skills. Over the course of the two-day meeting, participants from around the country will discuss the findings and recommendations of Greener Reality, and work with the GreenForce Initiative to develop a “Greenprint” for future action on sustainability and skills in the US.
