Across America, new municipal and county health, safety, labor and environmental ordinances are the focus of a growing trend: they are being overruled – or “preempted” – by state legislation. That’s why SEIU, the Rockefeller Family Fund, and the Mayors Innovation Project are hosting a daylong workshop on November 18th in Austin, Texas. The workshop will be held directly before the National League of Cities Conference in Austin, making it easy to attend.
